YTK Enhanced Not Connecting

Recently, YTKE has been acting up. It's not connecting. When it does connect I notice the portion of the alert bar where it says "connected to yahoo" goes white/blanked out.

Then when it does finally connect, takes longer these days, it looks normal but it's not actually functioning. The filters don't work, the bots are in the chat room as if I was running straight yahoo, the fake cam scanning is non functioning, and worst of all, it won't allow me to manually ignore the bots.

Sometimes if I disconnect then reconnect again it sometimes corrects itself, but it's been a continual process.

I uninstalled it and reinstalled it to see if it would make a difference but so far no improvement.

Throw some suggestions at me please.

at least I'm not the only 1 having an issue with the chat filters and for YTK Enhanced Not Connecting unchecked auto reconnect

This will happen when YTK is not connected.

Sometimes if I disconnect then reconnect again it sometimes corrects itself, but it's been a continual process.
This is the only way to make it work right now. The update will correct all of this.

Yahoo! decided to change either the login process or how information is sent/received from the chat server. Which in turn affects how YTK connects. I noticed this awhile back and so has Dave. Yahoo gradually applied the change to all of it's chat servers.

The update will definitely address this.

Well, actually I've improved the situation somewhat. I didn't notice it before but apparently my mouse got away from me logging in and the auto reconnect was checked. So I unchecked it.

But what I also did, even though I'm running a version 10 yahoo I set the reversion protocol back to 16.  This seems to  have improved the connection somewhat.

Even though it's not 100% it's working fairly decent for the time being.

We'll I have noticed that when I sign into chat the YTK icon stays gold and the filters don't work so I have to sign back out and sign back in maybe once or twice to get YTK to connect and then the icon turns green when it connects but yea its been doing this here lately I have naticed it been happen alot when I go from one account to another it takes about two time maybe three times of signing in and out before the YTK icon turns Green and if it is not green and you are in a chat room the filters will not work at all so ya.

It could be possible that Yahoo! is preparing to release Yahoo! Messenger 12 Beta and that they've changed the chat servers for that.

Yahoo! should've released Yahoo! Messenger 12 Beta already. Yahoo! Messenger 11 Beta was released November 16, 2010. So it's almost 22 months since they've put out a new version. Unless of course you count 11.5

Just be a little bit more patient, I also don't like seeing such issues as much as anyone does...... but I'd rather wait for something that worth waiting for, than an update with too much bugs.

And also Brock stated in his other post they're still doing their test on the update.

Yup, SGFC is right we've noticed the server issues before.
